NCDLI Legislative Day - April 2019

On April 3rd, 2019, North Rowan High School, Knox Middle School, and West Rowan Elementary School were able to showcase for our state legislators in Raleigh, NC how technology helps to transform instruction and student learning across the state. Students had the opportunity to share their work with personalized playlists, design thinking, and problem based learning to State Superintendent Mark Johnson, Lt. Governor Dan Forest, NC Representation Craig Horn, as well as other state legislators and business representatives. Rowan-Salisbury teachers Ashley Holshouser, Sally Schultz, and Alexis Greer were very proud of their students Isa Gaeta (5th grader at West Rowan Elementary), Danaesha Jackson (8th grader at Knox Middle School), and Jose Ochoa-Mejia (9th grader at North Rowan High School) in their presentation skills and excitement for personalized learning.
